After more than four decades of visionary leadership, Syntax, Inc. is entering an exciting new chapter. Founder Tim Law, who established the company in 1982, is beginning his transition toward retirement. Tim will remain on staff to ensure a smooth and thoughtful handoff, as well as continued guidance, during this transition.

We’re proud to announce that Dave Maynard has returned to Syntax as our new President & CEO. Dave was part of the Syntax team from 2004 to 2014 before spending over a decade in Los Angeles expanding his technical and leadership expertise. Now back in the Twin Cities, Dave is eager to lead Syntax into its next era of innovation and client service.

Joining Dave on the leadership team is Cedric Tran, who becomes an owner after 19 years of dedicated service, along with longtime partners Scott Gierdal and Eric Martinson, who have served in leadership roles since 2017. Both Dave and Cedric were mentored by Tim and bring deep technical knowledge and a shared commitment to Syntax’s founding mission: delivering the best technologies to meet the evolving business needs of our clients.
